Service Overview

Oil is the lifeblood of a working car. It helps to keep your engine cool, lubricated, and working smoothly. Without it, not only would your car's engine be incredibly loud, but the friction created by its quickly moving parts would also generate so much heat that your engine's parts would melt together!

Even with regular wear and tear, your engine heat degrades oil's ability to do its job over time. The oil becomes thicker and mixed with engine debris and dust. Because the oil's ability to disperse engine heat and lubricate becomes more and more diminished, your engine progressively loses its protection against aging and damage. And, if you drive in more congested stop-and-go or constant high-speed driving conditions, that oil degradation (also known as viscosity breakdown) happens even more quickly.

The oil filter also plays an important part in engine health by helping to filter much of the oil debris that accumulates over time with normal oil degradation. As the oil ages, the filter can become severely congested as the oil degrades, placing further strain on your engine.

Simply put, a well-lubricated engine keeps your car running in top shape and helps to avoid future expensive repairs. That's why regular oil changes and oil filter replacements in accordance with your particular vehicle's suggested maintenance schedule and your typical driving conditions are so important.

How can I tell when I need the service?

How often your vehicle requires oil and oil filter changes can depend on the make, model, and year of your car or truck, as well as typical driving conditions.

It is generally recommended to have your oil changed every 3 months or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first.
