transmissions service

Service Overview

A car or truck transmission is directly related to the overall vitality and longevity of the vehicle, and requires the same care and attention as other components. Yet, it can be overlooked or downplayed by drivers during service visits.

Normal gear grind taking place under extreme heat creates small metal particle buildup that can clog your transmission system. Over time, this leads to transmission damage and failure. However, in accordance with your vehicle manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule, routine replacement of Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) or manual transmission fluid at specific intervals can help avoid coarse shifting, advanced transmission wear, and transmission failure.

How can I tell when I need the service?

Refer to your vehicle manufacturer's specific maintenance schedule. If you have difficulty locating your particular vehicle's recommended maintenance schedule, give us a call or stop by and we'll be happy to share it with you.

What is included with the service?

At Fishkill Tire, we offer two transmission service options, depending on your vehicle's needs.
